"Moving from USA to NewFoundland"

Posted by oomingmak on 19-02-01 at 01:06 AM
My wife and I are from the United States and we are thinking about moving to NewFoundland. Of course we have to see about what it would take to legally live there (passports, visas, etc...).

I work in various parts of the technology field (networking, IT, computer support, etc...) for a living.

We have heard such nice things about the people. Also, I know some people who work for the same company I'm currently employed with, that are from NewFoundland. Very nice folks and they assure me that where they are from, people are generally friendly.

Do you know anyone from the US that actually MOVED to NewFoundland? Is it a realistic goal?

I am originally from newfoundland, now living in Oklahoma. I would suggest you and your wife go for a visit, there are two cities Corner Brook on the west coast and St. Johns on the East in the interior are two large towns Grand Falls and Gander. For what you do I would suggest one of the above for your destination. People are friendly.\You could cross from Sydney to Port aux Basque then drive across the island passing through the places I mentioned.

Wow, thank you so much. I stopped checking this website because I didn't think I'd see any responses.

Are you enjoying Oklahoma?

Thanks for the suggestion!
