Holly, I now live in Israel, but I lived in NF all my life.I am just starting to plan a trip home myself and this is some of the thing I want to see.... Western Brook in Gros Morne Park, you get in a boat and motor through a valley that has hills so high you can only see the sky looking strait up. You have to see the whales from a tour on the South Shore of the Avalon (30mins from St john's) In the early summer you should get to see icebergs in most areas of the Avalon and Bonivista Peninsulas. But if there is one thing that you do in the St John's area make sure that you go to the place where you have the most night clubs per square inch in North America George St. Remember that the West Coast (Corner Brook area) is the warmer and more dry area, so if you plan to camp some, it maybe more comfortable in this area. Hope you have fun, Denis

Denis,Thank you so much for responding to me!! We are so excited for this trip! We love to travel in Canada, we find the people are so much nicer, the senery more beautiful, and the exchange rate a hugh bonus!!! Thanx for the tip on camping, I saw the pictures from the rough winter they had and have fears that we may still see snow on the ground!! I will start to research your tips right away, and with only one month and one week before we go this will help us decide on just what to see and do! We are a little nervous because this will be about 5000 miles round trip! Newfoundland seems like such a hugh and beautiful place that we have been debating over where to go and what to see. I know I really want to see St. John's because I have a friend who plays hockey for the Leaf's farm club there and he says it is fantastic!! Your advice has really helped us norrow down some of our choices!!!! Thanx a million and I hope you have a great time on your visit!!!! Take Care, Holly!!!!!
