If you like HomeSite, you will also like EvrSoft's 1st Page 2000 (http://www.eversoft.com). It has one advantage, which I will let you discover by visiting the site.I am using it all the time.... only thing is, I've yet to find a product which will let me parse PHP in preview mode (hmmm... that would be killer). If you are looking for a simple HTML/Text editor, nothing beats NoteTab (http://www.notetab.com). I bought a copy of this two years ago ($10.00) and use it every day. It doesn't try to show you what your layout will look like (but when your sites are database driven you give up on being able to do this anyway), but it lets you create and reuse snippets of code very easily. For reasons most people wouldn't understand... NoteTab Rules...

Your right, the address should have been:http://www.evrsoft.com/ and not www.eversoft.com. Sorry about that Rob, hope there wasn't anything too obnoxious on eversoft.com. Check out the program though, it is a good one. I've tried HotDog and just about everything else. The only other design tool that I like is NetObjects Fusion, which I like to use when doing mockups for clients. It lets you move stuff around fairly easily. I always code the final product by hand though.

Rob, I'm interested in learning web-page development and E-commerce, can you recommend a good web-site where I can teach myself?

Hi Frankie,Here are some resources that I use: http://www.developer.com/ - there is a training centre and forums. http://www.builder.com - also training and resources. Note: You will want to initially focus on HTML and GRAPHICS (I started graphics with Paint Shop Pro - I thought it would be enough but am now playing with Photoshop and Fireworks) - Good Luck and let me know how you do. If anyone has any other suggestions, please post. Note: There are 2 distinctions - Developement, which is backend site programming and design, which is the front end work - These resources will work for either. Regards, Rob
