Bag limits are subject to change, and anglers should update their information prior to theng of the season. This information is contained in the annual Angler's Guide published each April by the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans. A copy is available, free of charge, by writing or calling the Communications Division, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Newfoundland Region. Family Licence Bag Limit
All fish caught under the authority of a family licence shall be counted as the catch of the individual to whom the licence was issued.
The bag limit of a family licence is the same as that on an individual licence.
Trout (other than lake trout)
Twelve in one day, or 2.27 kilograms (five pounds) plus one fish. ("Trout" includes speckled or brook trout, brown trout, rainbow trout and ouananiche.)
Lake Trout
Two (2) in one day.
Northern Pike
Two (2) in one day.
Arctic Char
Two (2) in one day.
The possession limit for trout is twice the daily bag limit.
