A salmon licence is required by all anglers to fish on scheduled salmon waters. Non-residents who retain brook trout while fishing a scheduled salmon river/stream are required to be in possession of a valid non-resident trout licence. In addition, non-residents who fish for Brook Trout, Arctic Char, Northern Pike and Ouananiche (landlocked salmon) on both scheduled and unscheduled waters (lakes, ponds or trout streams) are required to hold a non-resident licence. Inland fishing licences for salmon can be obtained from most retail outlets such as hardware stores, sporting goods stores, service stations, department stores, etc., located throughout the province, or from your outfitter. It should be noted, however, that not all such outlets have licences for sale.
