Newfoundland and Labrador is Canada’s premier destination for anglers and hunters. Many of the game populations are the largest in North America. Success rates for rifle hunters of Moose and Caribou is over 80%. As for fishing, there is always a catch. Rivers and Lakes throughout the province are teaming with salmon, trout, pike, and more. Newfoundland has the highest density moose population in North America, black bears that tend to be larger that their cousins on the rest of the continent, and the world’s southernmost woodland caribou.
