Non-resident big game licences for bear, moose and caribou are available only through licenced outfitters. Interested hunters should contact the outfitter of their choice to determine the availability of licences and obtain the required application forms. Once an application has been submitted, the outfitter should be
contacted regarding all further information such as the status of the application.
Non-resident small game licences are available through numerous vendor outlets throughout the province. Migratory Game Bird Permits are available only through Canada Post Corporation offices. Remittance for big and small game licences should be in the form of bank draft or a Postal Money Order payable in Canadian funds.
Non Resident Guide Requirements
Non-resident big game hunters (moose, caribou, black bear) are required to be accompanied by a licensed
guide. When two or more non-residents hunt together, the number of guides shall not be less than one guide
for each two non-resident hunters. Guides are provided by licensed outfitters as pan of their package. Small game hunters (ptarmigan, grouse, snowshoe/arcric hare) and waterfowl hunters do not require guides.
