It is unlawful to hunt big game with any .22 calibre rifle or any rifle using ammunition with a bullet weight of less than 100 grains or a muzzle energy less than 1,500 foot pounds. Metal case projectiles as used by the military forces are not permitted.
Hunters are not permitted to hunt game birds with a pump, a pump automatic or auto-loading shotgun unless the magazine has been permanently plugged or altered so that it cannot carry more than two shells.
The taking or killing of any wildlife with any automatic rifle, i.e. any rifle which fires continuously while the trigger is depressed, is prohibited.
Hunters are forbidden to carry a loaded firearm in, on or discharge it from any vehicle, aircraft, horseback, or flush or hunt game birds with or from a motor vehicle, aircraft or any powered boat.
It is unlawful when hunting migratory birds to possess more than one shotgun unless each shotgun in excess of one is unloaded and cased. Hunters may not hunt with a gun larger than 10 gauge. Live decoys are forbidden.
Forbidden, too, in hunting game birds is the use of monitors, sunken punts, batteries or night lights and boats not propelled by hand.
It is unlawful to use or take advantage of any artificial light to hunt, take or kill big game. It is also unlawful to hunt, take or kill big game during the period commencing one-half hour after sunset on any day and ending one-half hour before sunrise on the next following day.
No person is permitted to use a set gun, swivel gun or a silencer. By set gun we mean any contrivance, device or firearm capable of discharging or projecting a missile, which is set to operate otherwise than in the presence of and by the direct act of the user.
