A large population of black bears exists in Labrador and hunting pressure has been minimal. Black bear hunting is being developed in conjunction with the sport caribou hunt, and many outfitters offer bear hunt and fishing packages (in season).

A non-resident hunt for caribou on the George River (Quebec-Labrador) herd is now offered through outfitters in Labrador. Fall and winter hunts are available.
